Assessment Materials
The Reading Lions Center (RLC) of the Sacramento County Office of Education, well-known throughout California for its professional development materials, has developed monitoring tools to diagnose the effectiveness of classroom instruction. These assessments provide data that districts need to increase the academic progress of individual students.

Comprehension and Fluency Assessments
These assessments are independent of any published reading/language arts curriculum, and can be used regardless of the curriculum adopted. Skills Assessment Supplements
Focused on Language Arts Standards, they are available in three forms per grade level and may be ordered and used independently of each other.
End-of-Year Fluency Assessments
A comprehension selection and two grade-level
