Program Specific 6–8 Week Skills Assessments
The Reading Lions Center 6-8 Week Skills Assessments are designed to support student learning through improved classroom instruction. The Skills Assessments provide the data that teachers and grade-level teams need to increase the academic progress of not only individual students, but that of the entire class. The assessment subtests are based upon the content addressed in each unit/theme as well as the grade-level standards that are found in the California Reading/Language Arts Framework. These assessments are tools that help educators focus on the effectiveness of their instruction to support student learning.
The subtests are Comprehension, Checking Skills, Spelling, Vocabulary, Writing Prompts, and Fluency.
