Welcome to the Reading Lions Center
The Reading Lions Center (RLC), a department of the Sacramento County Office of Education, is a statewide leader in K-6 reading/language arts. We are recognized for our instructional excellence, delivery of exemplary professional development, curriculum-embedded assessments, and reform of district, school, and classroom practices to ensure successful literacy results. Over the past decade we have:
- Developed over 6,000 hours of professional development
- Trained over 100,000 educators
- Improved reading/language arts instruction for over two-million students
