Passport Certification Instructions
If you will be certifying the 80-hour follow-up Passport for your teachers you need to have an account in the Client Account Manager at www.readinglions.net/register. Follow the directions below to log-in to or create your account and to begin the certification process.
Step 1:
- Go to www.readinglions.net/register. If you already have an account with us you can log-in with your username and password. If you do not have an account, click the "Create New Account" link.
Note: In the category "Job Function," you must select the function of Principal. You do not need to be a Principal, but functioning as a Principal for this task. If you are creating a new account you can choose this function when setting-up your account. If you need to update your function on an existing account you can do this through the "Manage your account profile" link on "your start page."
Step 2:
- Once you have logged-in to or created your account, you will be on "your start page" and can follow these steps to identify yourself as the Passport Certifier and begin certifying your teachers:
- Click on the "Register as a Passport Certifier" link. Read the information and mark the box "I confirm that I will serve as the Passport Certifier at my school."
- Click on "your start page" to return to the main page.
- Click on "Certify your teachers" under the Passport heading. You will see a list of all your teachers that have completed a 40-hour institute. Under the "Certified" column, click on the contents (Yes or No) to certify or remove certification for each teacher.
